I have a job!
:D
The interview was last week, and I thought it was a really difficult, high pressured interview and although I had been well prepared by one of the Sisters in placement I really wasn't sure how it went. A friend also went and said she found the same, very difficult questions and very intense.
I got a phone call today saying unofficially I would be offered it next week when my references had come through.
:D
I'm adding a new resourcey type post for Band 5 interview questions based on the ones I and my friends have had and that I have been prepped for.
I was away in Cornwall for a few days with my family, travelled back by coach over last night and did a presentation today in university, which went well. It was a really good break, the weather was beautiful and I've not had a holiday with my family since the summer so it was good to spend time with them too.
I'm going to post a political/general rant in a bit, regarding two articles I had read in the Metro. I bet you can hardly wait!

Lucy
Thank you very much Lucy. I keep having minor panics as I've not had anything in writing yet and wonder if I imagined the phonecall! I have actually checked my call list on my phone!
It really is an exciting time and it's hard to believe it's actually here.
Oh wow, congratulations! That's fantastic news!
I seem to be missing so much news just lately (Tom from Random Acts had some exciting news too!) I really need to keep up to date more.
You said in your last post that you didn't know much about the job? I presume you found out more at the interview and you liked what you heard?
Thanks MMW :)
I've not been keeping up with any of my usual blogs either, apart from yours I've not read the others for a couple of weeks.
Yes, I've now found out more about the job. after my interview they very kindly showed me around and I really liked the hospital, though it looks more like a shopping centre when you first walk in. I got to visit all the children's wards adn find out more about them. The job is going to be a rotation programme, so 6 months in 3 different clinical areas, which is ideal for a newly qualified nurse to gain experience.
Oh, and I'm sure I mentioned this in my Blog but it's worth mentioning again. There's a Starbucks 3 doors down, I stopped for coffee before I went into my interview as I was early and knew I from the moment I laid my eyes upon it it was the job for me!
Ooh, it would have to be a Subway for me I think! Mind you, I can't honestly compare; I don't think I've ever been in a Starbucks.
I'm really glad that you've found a job that seems to suit you so well.
Congratulations! Sorry for not replying sooner, I've been away but back to reading! It's quite nice reading all the blogs tho in a big block! Jenni
Thanks Jenni, hope everything/placement/uni is going well :)
